Use this pose to get blood flowing throughout your body. Lunge forward with your right foot in front of you, bending your knee so itâs stacked over your right ankle, and your left foot back, balancing on the ball of your left foot. Reach up, then lower your elbows so your arms mimic the shape of a goalpost. Lift your chest and breathe in. Switch sides and try this instant boost of energy on the other side before reaching for your morning cup of joe.
Dig Deep
From this morningâs lunge position, bend forward to frame your front foot with your hands. Let your feet act as your foundation, supporting the weight of your body. Dig the heel of your front foot and the ball of your back foot into the floor. How powerful can you get in this low lunge? Experiment by wiggling your fingers off the floor to test your strength. Stay here for 3 to 5 breaths, then switch sides.
